Help for Physics Students:

1. Make sure your own study habits are correct for you. Uninterrupted quite time is usually the best environment. Search the web for suggestions on Study Habits.
A good place to look on the web is How to Study Physics.

2. Read the assignments ahead of time. Reread them.

3. Go to lecture.

4. Work lots of problems. More than the assigned ones.

5. Get help from either a study group you form, from the Learning Center in Physics or by visiting your instructor. Don't expect to spend many hours with your instructor since he/she may have several hundred students. A professor must also publish, do research and attend to committee work.

6. Check out tutors.... see the link on home page of Physics or go here.

7. Purchase and use a copy of the Schaum's Outline for College Physics - in bookstores - cost was $11.86 + tax and shopping. Also in the ODU book store on Sept. 13, 2004.
Good Luck
