I have again modified my plans for Examination 2. It is difficult to set up the review exam to be taken on-line so for now I will post the Review Exam #2 on our website at the end of this week as I did for Exam#1. You will not have to register for or do Review exam 2 in LAL.
The real Exam#2 will still be given at 12:00 Friday Oct 24 in OCNPS 200.

Please Note the following changes to the course schedule
1. Assignment 6 due date is now Friday Oct 17.
2. Examination 2 was originally scheduled for Monday October 20, but will now be held on Friday October 24 in OCNPS 200 at 12:00. This change allows you to take a Review Examination in the Learning Assessment Laboratory (GORNTO) on Wednesday October 22. All students must register for LAL between Wednesday October 15 and Monday October 20. The registration slots are 75 minutes for Oct 22. Please read LAL rules, especially concerning printing a registration receipt and bringing your ODU ID card. when you attend LAL. The Review Examination is worth 5% of final grade but is more important as practice for Exam 2 on Friday Oct 24 in OCNPS 200. Please read LAL website for their rules and to register.

Submission of Assignment 5 has been delayed until Sunday Oct 5 at 11:59pm. Time to start studying for Exam #2. The Learning Center is a good place to get help with your Physics problems and theory. Don't forget, if you can't do the assignment problems by yourself, then you will likely not do well in the examinations.

Mid-Semester Grades will be posted to LEO by 5pm this evening. Here is the calc I used. Exam 1 (%) x 0.75 + Assig 1+2+3 (%) (150 marks max) x0.10 + Lab 1+2 (%) x 0.15. Grade division dropped by 10% to A(80-100), B(70-79), C(60-69), D(50-59), F(<50).
Exam 1 solutions have been posted. Class average 56% which is way too low.

Examination 1 is scheduled for Friday Sep 19. It will cover CH 21-23. It will contain 2 questions each with several subsections. Several multiple choice questions will be included. For review I have posted a list of extra problems from your text as well as a previous exam. You should do Problems 1, 2 on that exam as review for next Friday. However several parts of question 1 will not be covered in lectures until next Monday and Wednesday. You should also review your assignments 1-3.

I have delayed submission of Assignment 2 by one day till Thursday evening (Sept 11).
Reminder that Examination 1 is scheduled for Friday Sept 19. Time to start studying for it. Mid-semester grades will be submitted to the Registrar on Monday 22 Sept, so examination 1 is very important so you don't get a letter from them.
