Physics 120: Physics of the
21st Century
Fall 2005
- Oral Presentations coming
up:
The first set of presentations on your topics will be held
in class, on Wednesday December 7. We can have 3 students, each giving
a 10 min. presentation with 5 min. of discussion afterwards. If you are
ready to get this out of the way, we strongly recommend that you
reserve one of these 3 coveted slots - send email to phys120@physics.odu.edu.
All remaining students will have to give their presentations 5 days
later, on Monday December 12, during the time officially assigned for
the Final Exam in this class (8:30 - 11:30). This
is also the date when your written paper is due.
Please don't wait until the last minute - contact any of us if you need
help, advice, etc. for your paper or your presentation. Make sure you
practice your presentation (with a friend) so you know you can do it in
10 minutes. You can use a computer hooked up to our projector or
overhead transparencies as visual aids. It helps to go to one of the
Physics colloquia so you can learn from the "experts" (including what
NOT to do).
