Solid Target Design: The cryotarget group under Dave Kashy has taken responsibility for design and construction of the solid targets for the e2 run. They have a preliminary design for a solid target mounted on a pivotting arm. The arm is controlled by a guided cable. The cable runs from the target arm, out of the scattering chamber, to a vacuum bellows operated by an air cylinder. In the relaxed position, the arm is parallel to the scattering chamber spine. In the deployed position, the target is in the beamline.
